Long before I designed digital products, I was telling stories as a journalist in Serbia. My work took me into people’s lives—listening closely, asking questions, and finding the real story behind what they shared. I didn’t know it then, but those same instincts would later become central to how I approach UX design.

After moving to the Chicago area, my career took a different direction. I worked in administration, where I learned how much thoughtful organization, clear communication, and attention to detail can affect people’s everyday experiences. Although journalism and administration may seem far from design, both taught me to understand people, bring order to complexity, and communicate clearly.

UX design brought those parts of my background together. I graduated from Designlab’s UX Academy and began creating digital experiences shaped by research, empathy, and practical problem-solving. I found work that allows me to listen like a journalist, think systematically, and turn what I learn into something useful.

Today, I’m a Lead UX/UI Designer at Sports Excitement, where I collaborate with product owners, designers, and developers on a career advancement platform. Previously, I worked with Boki Creative on a rental and building management platform. Each experience has strengthened the way I approach design: with curiosity, care, and a clear understanding of the people behind the screen.
